Watercolour Painting Workshop held by Elliot Lake Arts on the Trail
The objective of this workshop is to make Watercolour Painting a fun and enjoyable experience that will increase the confidence of the artist taking this course. At the beginning of the workshop Richard will speak on the importance of a limited palette, quick composition check list and fast ways of getting your picture on paper. As well as how to simplify you work, these techniques will help the creative process in painting buildings, natural looking trees and the autumn landscape. All levels of experience welcomed to this creative workshop.
Supply list and what to bring?
Sketch Book, pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener
Watercolour Paints; Cool or transparent colours; Thalo blue and quinacridone rose, lemon yellow.
Warm or opaque Colours; Cadmium red light, cadmium yellow, ultramarine blue.
Additional Colours; Cobalt Blue, viridian green, orange, burnt sienna, yellow ochre , violet as well as your own favourite pigments.
Paint palette, support, watercolour paper, two water containers, paper towels, Compact “ready to go” painting supplies in a backpack, Comfortable autumn clothes, etc. This work shop will also have an indoor location for painting if the weather is not suitable for out door work.
